Culture Night September 2016
Culture Night 16 September 2016!
Everyone taking part was given a blank board on which to paint, and a part of a larger picture. Our artists demonstrated what needed to be done. As the evening progressed the smaller painted sections were be pieced together to make up a big picture.
All the small sections made up a 3 x 4 foot painting.
A great evening was had by all.

Culture Night 16 September 2016!

Kilmantin Arts held their Culture Night in the gallery on Friday the 18th September 2015.
Artists Robert Teeling and Derek Lyons both did painting demonstrations on the evening.
Derek focused on water colours and Robert painted in oils.
We had a very busy and fun evening.

Wicklow Regatta Festival August 2015
Local artists from in and around Wicklow dispayed their art around the railings in Fitzwilliam Square.
The weather held out and it was a great day for artists and buyers alike.

Wicklow Arts Festival 22 - 24 May 2015
We had a great turn out of artists exhibit on Saturday the 23rd and Sunday the 24th May in the Abbey Grounds, Wicklow Town in conjunction with the annual Wicklow Arts Festival.
It was a fantastic weekend and a big thank you to all artists who exhibited over the weekend.

We had a great response to our Children's Art Competition this year.
There were some really great entries and the judges had a tough time deciding on the winners.

Live Portrait Drawing Session
Professional Artist, Conor Walton was in the Kilmantin Art Gallery on Sunday the 25th May 2014 during the Wicklow Arts Festival.
He did a live portrait drawing session which was extremely interesting and informative to watch.
Many thanks to Conor as well as Robert Teeling and Trish Banks who sat for him.

Kilmantin Arts Calendar 2014!
Our 2014 calendar is now on sale in the gallery at half price for EUR 4.00.
The calendar features 12 paintings by 12 of our local artists and features some lovely scenes from in and around Wicklow.
Kilmantin Arts featured well known artist, Tony Kew who exhibited from the 25 November 2013 to 6 December 2013.
Tony Kew was born in South Africa in 1937. He moved to Canada in 1967 and became an illustrator, working for Advertising Agencies, Magazines and the Canadian Government.
He began painting in 1974 and won awards for his portraiture.
He is a painter with a preoccupation for the human form, in the realistic and surrealistic genre and his works have sold worldwide. His paintings are in several corporate collections.
He has been living and painting in Ireland since 1988.
