Fintan Clarke
A native of Wicklow, Fintan Clarke has been actively involved in Art for more than 30 years.
Like many other members of Kilmantin Arts, he initially studied under the late Liam Tracy who has often been described as "Ireland's Monet"
It was Liam's very colourful style and love of his natural surroundings that has had the most influence on Fintan's approach to painting and choice of subject matter.
Although landscape painting is his main interest, Fintan also works with still life and abstract art using both brush and knife, and always works with oils.
An unusually large interest in Art, in and around Wicklow, prompted number of people, including Fintan, to found what is now Kilmantin Arts. Fintan is a Director and Co-Treasurer of the Gallery.
